Bio: 
Gefle Porcelainsfabrik was founded in 1910 in Gävle, but faience production in the area dates back to the 19th century. In the late 1800s, transfer-printed and relief-decorated faience plates were highly popular, produced in large numbers for both household use and export. The “Mullbär” decoration is a typical example of the naturalistic ornamentation of the time, here enriched with classical putti motifs inspired by Renaissance and Baroque imagery.
