Ipsens Enke, bowl with frog, model 293
An atmospheric bowl from Ipsens Enke, produced in the early 20th century. The form is shaped as a leaf in green and orange tones, upon which a naturalistic frog rests on the rim. The glaze enhances both the sculptural expression of the animal and the organic texture of the leaf, giving the piece a vivid naturalism.
