Description: Painted terracotta plaque by Peter Ipsen, Copenhagen. Features the motif "Angels Playing Music" by Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770–1844), based on a relief modeled in Rome in 1833. This plaque was produced at the Ipsen factory around 1890.
Factory mark on the back reads "P. Ipsen" and includes model number 362. In good condition. The paintwork shows some flaking at the bottom of the motif. Dimensions: 17.7 cm in diameter.
