Indonesian Batak calendar scroll (magical calendar) from Sumatra, 20th century.

Description: Cylindrical Indonesian Batak magical calendar from Sumatra - possibly also medicine container. The scroll has various tables, motifs and symbols inscribed on bamboo. The table has 30 fields vertically (days) and 12 fields horizontally (months).
A Batak calendar was used by the Batak priest/shaman to find days that were favorable for ceremonies. 20th century.
The Batak calendar, called Porhalaan, is derived from the Hindu Sanskrit calendar.

Height approx. 13 centimeters. Good condition. However, I do not know if the roll was originally assembled with another part.
